Brushing Your Teeth Correctly
To brush your teeth properly, you need to spend at least two minutes and use a recommended technique. This technique includes 30 seconds of you brushing each section of your mouth. The sections in your mouth are upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. This should be done twice a day; morning and night. To brush your teeth properly, follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Start with the outer and inner surfaces and brush at an angle of 45 degrees and use short half tooth-wide strokes against the gum line.
Step 2: Brush the chewing surfaces. With you holding the brush flat, brush back and forth along these surfaces.
Step 3: Now go to the inside surfaces of your front teeth. Tilt the brush vertically. Use gentle up and down strokes with the tip of the toothbrush.
Step 4: Brush gently along the gum line.
Step 5: Brush your tongue now in a back to front sweeping motion so as to remove any food particles and bacteria that cause odor so as to have fresh breath.
Following the above steps will enable you to maintain the health of your gums and teeth.
